2 Guys came up to me earlier today, Jeremy & Kok Tat. They wanted to share with me about the word of the Lord. Pretty much told them I was a Catholic. Then launched into a conversation that talked about how Jesus gave himself up for us.
It is through the common belief between all Christians that always make me happy to engage in this type of conversations. Like really really. Getting to know other Christians from the different denominations is a blessing, and I am glad the Lord gave me a chance to listen to how they perceive about salvation, as well as the blessing and usually unfounded wisdom for me also, to explain a lot about my faith.
Jeremy and Kok Tat, if you are reading this or my mind from anywhere, always remember that the Lord is with you always, just it has been said in a section of Psalm 23, "For You at my side, with Your Rod and Your Staff, that give me courage."
Dear Lord, I thank you very very much for the gift of Jeremy and Kok Tat for the gift of their fai…
Closure of Chapter 1: Psalm 91
(2 Days On)
I still remember the very day I entered this wonderful ministry. Sec 3 PA, I mean. Always awkward (but stayed jumpy for a year straight. Ha!).
Since then, I really have learnt many things about you guys, and also much more about God. That he works in really mysterious ways. I tell you why.
1. The moment I stepped into B11 on the very first PA session I was pretty sure I was calm and not hyper. From then on, I knew Love Has Come to Show the Way :)
2. Over the years, Psalm has always been one of my homes of refuge, and it has always become a habit to come for any of the sessions. I always feel uncomfortable if I don't go. And if my parents (or my mother at least) disallow me from going... Well that's a different story. That happened when I was 'grounded'. Tell you more if you want to know.
This really has been a journey filled with ups and downs, and I hope everyone really learnt something about (at least) somebody in…
I feel like an old man just spouting out everything hahahahahah but I'm waay too excited to share what I've learnt today.
I stumbled across my introduction notes and I will share this with you guys too.
The main outline of the course was for me to learn 3 Key Aspects of the Mass.
The Mass as a Sacrifice The Mass as Real Presence The Mass as Holy Communion
The MASS AS A SACRIFICE The Jews often did sacrifices, which of course, involved the killing of the poor animal. However, the sacrifice did not end there. They would then partake of the animal. Literally. This Communion Meal then symbolizes the renewal of the Covenant Union.
This can be linked to different stories in the Old and New Testaments. In the Old testement, the family feud between Isaac & Abimilech in Genesis 26 is a great example. They sacrificed an animal, and then partaken of the animal. This therefore led to the reconciliation as well as a covenant union between the both of them. They became in a way, brothers.
